About Us

Whenever I’m asked to describe Speen Church, I invariably start, not by talking about where the building is or how many people attend church on a Sunday, but by mentioning something that’s going on outside of the church and on a day other than a Sunday. I’m convinced that God is interested in this community. I believe that the teachings of Jesus are vital and relevant to people of all ages and circumstances, at all times on any day of the week. The heartbeat of this Church community is found in diverse activities small groups and in our places of work all around the local area.

And for me, that’s the point of Church: to demonstrate God’s priorities, His incredible interest and compassion for everyone, through the way we engage with those around us – near or far: which is exactly what Jesus did.

The hub of our week is Sunday. We meet as a family. There’s music, teaching, prayer, some great activities for kids and young people and of course, coffee.
